About

A quieter kind of cookbook

We built Otto because we cook, and we were tired of losing recipes to screenshots, bookmarks and saved videos. Otto keeps every recipe you love in one place, walks you through cooking it, and plans the week around it — with no ads, no feed, and nothing to perform.

What Otto does ↓

What we believe

  • Gather, don’t scatter

Every cook already has a collection — a photo of a page here, a link there, a video they’ll never find again. Otto’s whole job is to gather it in one place and then get out of the way.

  • Quiet by default

Otto isn’t a social network, a feed, or a place to perform cooking. There is nothing to score, nothing to post, and no algorithm deciding what you should eat tonight.

  • No ads, no data sale

We will never sell your data or show you advertising. There is no version of Otto where the recipes you save become someone else’s targeting.

  • Numbers you can trust

Every figure on this site and in the app is real and sourced. We publish ratings, counts and estimates only where we can stand behind them — never as decoration.

  • Estimates stay estimates

Nutrition figures come from public USDA data and are labelled as estimates, because that is what they are. We won’t present one as a measurement.

  • Your recipes are yours

Your collection belongs to you, not to us. Request a full copy of your account whenever you want it, and delete it from inside the app — properly, not hidden. We commit to giving notice well ahead of any change that would affect access.
